Practice Description

Ms. Chavez focuses her practice on intellectual property mainly in the trademark area.

While in law school, Ms. Chavez took extensive courses in IP-related subjects, including Trademark, Copyright, Licensing, E-Commerce, and Antitrust laws. She participated in the Baylor Law IP Clinic assisting clinic clients with trademark prosecution matters. During law school Ms. Chavez interned with the PGA TOUR’s legal department under their trademark attorney assisting with portfolio management and licensing matters. Post-graduation, Ms. Chavez was a research assistant for Professors James Wren and Elizabeth Fraley and helped with updating sections related to trademark infringement in their book on Texas commercial causes of action.
